Things Emmett is doing now
Up until Christmas, he only had about 3 words and since it's expected that they have about 10 words by 18 months, I was starting to wonder how that was going to happen in tow months. Not even a week after new years and suddenly he was saying a new word everyday. Amazing how that just happens.
Had his first dentist check up on Jan 19th 2010.. he teeth look great!
He now says: oh, Daddy, Mama, ball, baby, banana (nana), santa (anta), star, puppy, hop, this, ouch, hot (ot), uh oh and quack. There are more but i lost track...he doesn't say all of them everyday but you'll hear it every other day or so.
Has realized the power of the pointer finger and uses it to express wat he wants you to get him or for you too see. this comes with ah, ah, ah!!!
Colors with crayons on paper....for a min..and then trys to eat the crayon.
Can stack megablocks together.
Can do the shape sorter.
Likes wooden puzzles.
Kicks and passes a ball.
Sings part of his favorite raffie song (6 little ducks..does the quack quack quack part)
Pushes and pulls his toys
Has figured out how to open the closet doors
Loves pressing buttons especially the on/off button on the tv when your trying to watch something.
Dances to Country music..no idea where he got that from!
Is learning to eat with a spoon.
Has 8 teeth in and 2 more on the way with 6 more yet to come.
He is about 30 inches tall and about 25 lbs at 17 months
Favorite Foods are: bananas, kiwis, apples, cheddar goldfish crackers, cheerios and milk.
Foods he doesn't care for: straight vegetables and anything with too much texture.
Loves the bath, running and exploring the house, wrestling with Daddy, playing peek-a-boo, being chased, and Maizie our dog
Hates having his teeth brushed, his bum changed, and getting dressed, also hates the babygate with a passion.
Thats all I can think of for now. I'm sure I will think of more while i'm trying to fall asleep tonight and I will have to add then later. Also I will add more detail to the Christmas Album.
